Elon Musk, the pioneering figure in the technology sector, has introduced the Grok AI chatbot through his xAI initiative, which has rapidly gained popularity worldwide, surpassing its competitor ChatGPT. A recent tweet from the developer team at X and DOGE revealed that Grok’s usage has become much more cost-effective compared to a monthly subscription to ChatGPT-4 on the X platform.
Grok Overtakes ChatGPT-4
According to the tweet, Grok is now accessible to all X Premium users without any additional fees. As a result, the monthly cost of using Premium and Grok is $8, while a monthly subscription to ChatGPT-4 requires $20. This means that Elon Musk’s Grok is 60% more economical than OpenAI, which is considered a competitor by Musk.
Musk Enters the Competition
At the beginning of 2023, Musk declared himself a competitor against OpenAI and ChatGPT, expressing his determination to develop an AI chatbot that does not shy away from discussing certain topics. This decision reflected his belief in the importance of freedom of expression, which was highlighted after he acquired Twitter for $44 billion and rebranded it as the X app. Subsequently, Musk established xAI and launched the Grok AI chatbot in late autumn to address the shortcomings of OpenAI.
New “Unhinged” News Mode Coming Soon
Musk recently announced on Twitter that a new “unhinged” news mode for Grok on the X platform will be introduced soon. This mode will provide summaries of the latest developments and news for all Premium users.
However, based on the screenshot shared in the tweet, it appears that this mode will actually be called “normal mode.” The crypto community is eagerly anticipating this update, as it adds a touch of “savviness” to Elon Musk’s and other major IT companies’ policies.
Elon Musk has gained a reputation in the crypto world for his support of Dogecoin. Now, the crypto community is excitedly waiting for Musk to incorporate crypto payments into X, with Dogecoin being the leading candidate.
